Terms & Conditions

By using this website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. "We" means Brea Elixir Atelier, Kampala, Uganda. You must be at least 18 to create an account or place an order. If you are younger, please ask a parent or guardian to order for you.

We try to describe and photograph our products accurately, but colours and packaging may vary slightly. Products are subject to availability. If an item you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you and refund anything you paid for it.

Skincare affects people differently. Please read the product label, patch test when in doubt and stop use if irritation occurs. If you have a skin condition, are pregnant or are unsure, talk to a doctor or pharmacist first. Our product information is not medical advice.

We sell genuine products sourced from reputable suppliers. If you ever doubt the authenticity of something you received, tell us straight away and we will look into it.

• All prices are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX). For the Kampala areas listed at checkout, the delivery fee for your area is shown before you pay and is included in your order total. For other places in Uganda and for orders outside Uganda, no delivery fee is charged at checkout: we agree the delivery arrangement and cost with you by phone or message (see "Orders outside the listed areas and outside Uganda" below), and you pay that cost separately.
• We accept mobile money (MTN MoMo and Airtel Money) and card payments, processed by our payment provider. If cash on delivery is offered at checkout, it is shown there with its conditions; it is not available for orders outside Uganda.
• An order paid online is confirmed once payment is received. While you complete payment, we hold the items in your order for a short time (about 30 minutes). If payment is not completed in that time the order expires and the items go back on sale. An order paid in cash on delivery is confirmed when we accept it, and you pay when it is delivered.
• If a payment is taken but the order shows as unpaid, do not pay again; contact us with your order number and we will check it.
• We may correct pricing errors and will tell you before processing an affected order.

When you place an order you confirm that the details you give (especially your phone number and delivery address) are correct and that you are allowed to use the payment method. You will receive an email confirmation and receipt if you gave an email address. Receipts for paid orders can always be downloaded from your order page, or from your account if you signed in when ordering. We may cancel and refund an order if we suspect fraud or an error.

If your area is not listed, or you are outside Uganda, you finish your order at checkout as normal and we then call or message you to agree how the parcel will reach you, when, and what the delivery will cost. Please give a phone number we can reach (include the country code if you are outside Uganda) and keep it on.

• If you do not agree to the delivery arrangement or its cost, tell us and we will cancel the order and refund what you paid.
• If we cannot reach you after reasonable attempts, we may cancel the order and refund what you paid for the goods.
• For orders outside Uganda, import duties, taxes, customs and handling charges in the destination country are your responsibility. Some countries restrict or inspect cosmetic and skincare products. Please check that your order can be imported before you buy.
• We are not responsible for delay, inspection, charges or seizure by customs or other authorities, or for delays by the courier or postal service once the parcel has left us.

• You can create an account with your phone number (and optionally an email) and sign in with either one.
• Choose a strong password and keep it private. We will never ask you for your password. You are responsible for activity under your account, so sign out on shared devices.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. We can disable it and help you set a new password.
• Give accurate information. Phone numbers and emails must be yours, or ones you are allowed to use.
• We may suspend or close accounts that are misused, used for fraud, or that break these terms. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

Do not misuse the site. This includes: trying to break, overload or probe its security; accessing other people's accounts or data; placing fraudulent or fake orders; guessing passwords or order numbers; using bots or automated tools to scrape the site or buy in bulk without our permission; or posting unlawful or abusive content.

If you subscribe to our newsletter you agree to receive occasional emails about offers and new stock. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in each email. Order and account messages (such as receipts and password resets) are not marketing and will still be sent when needed.

The text, photographs, logo and design on this site belong to Brea Elixir Atelier or its licensors. Brand names and logos of products and payment methods belong to their owners. You may not copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without written permission.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ugandan consumer law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, such as network, mobile money or power outages, strikes, severe weather, or customs and courier delays. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

We may update these terms; the version published here when you order applies to that order. If you have a complaint, contact us first and we will try to put it right quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction.
